Fergie’s & Frenchie’s Creperie: A Taste of Paris in Downtown Fargo
Fergie’s & Frenchie’s is a cozy creperie and dirty soda bar tucked into Roberts Alley in downtown Fargo. Blending French-inspired flavors with a warm local charm, it’s the kind of spot designed for good food, good conversation, and a little bit of everyday delight.
The story behind the name is as charming as the menu itself. Owners first fell in love with the concept while working alongside a French gentleman at their Grand Forks bookstore location. When he returned to Paris, they carried on the idea—naming the new venture Fergie’s (for Ferguson Books) and Frenchie’s (in honor of their Parisian friend).
Fergie’s & Frenchie’s takes authenticity seriously. The team has studied French culture and traditional street crepe-making in Paris to ensure every dish is the real deal. Unlike other local restaurants that may feature crepes seasonally, this is Fargo’s only full-service creperie offering both sweet and savory options year-round. Favorites include the Norwegian Crepe and the Smoked Salmon Crepe, paired with playful dirty sodas like the popular Madame Rogue. Adventurous visitors can even create their own custom soda by mixing flavors into their favorite base.
The business began as a pop-up in 2024 and, just this past summer, opened its first brick-and-mortar location in the heart of Roberts Alley—just steps away from Ferguson Books. Guests can enjoy free parking in the ROCO ramp, browse a small selection of books for sale, and even look forward to ice cream coming soon.
But the food is only part of the experience. The heart of Fergie’s & Frenchie’s lies in its people—both the staff and the community they serve. The business contributes 10% of profits to local organizations and supports events that directly impact Churches United.
Walking in feels like stepping onto the streets of Paris (with a Fargo twist). Guests leave full and smiling, often with one last reminder from the team: “Have a CREPE Day!”
